Today we have the memorial service from home. It started at 9:00am. And by around 10am, we started to head off to the cemetery.

Thanks for all the years we have been together. We miss u, dad. 

For those "strong of heart" - ya, these are the remains of my dad after the cremation awaiting for that great day:

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God,and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. (1Thess4:16-17)

I wish my dad could be in this photo. He would have loved it. Why all the smiles in such a time? Simple - we have Jesus in our heart. He is our Comforter and our Saviour. He is our great Shalom Peace. For in Christ is the greatest position one could ever attain in this life.  

The timing of the Lord is always perfect. God sent forth a bunch of my mum's relatives from Sibu just ONE day prior to my dad passing away. Thank God for relatives! They brought such comfort to my mum. 

That very night I was "reprimanded" for wearing RED (which I never intended) cuz thats a "happy color". According to Confucius, I am supposed to mourn and wail dayindayout for a few years next to my dad's tomb. But according to my Bible, I am rejoicing for my dad cuz he is now forever with Lord Jesus - never ever growing old, never ever getting sickness, never ever need to worry, can eat all u want... Gosh!

Someone decided to take off the cover and have a last "family photo". Afterwhich, the casket was lowered down to basement and cremated. 

I am happy my dad didn't have to suffer any longer for his illness. And I am actually feeling "jealous" of my dad cuz he is now in a FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR better place than I could ever imagine. This was the "only" moment I got tears rolling down. Though I know I will see my dad soon I still miss him.

"Last Look". Well, at least in terms of "while on earth".  

The promise of the redemption of our bodies at the Rapture of the Church is that BLESSED HOPE all Christians look forward to. Though we are seperated from dad for a while physically, we know one day we shall be reunited in great joy.

Two other pastors, sitting next to How Jer at the back, are from my sister's church in KL.  

Pastor Daniel Choo helped to conduct the funeral service at the cremation place. 

We rented a bus to help fetch the family from location to location. We collected dad's body from the hospital at 8:30am. Afterwhich we proceeded straight to the cremation place. 

A whole bunch of helpful people helped to arrange everything. A big thank you to my Pastors - Pastor Kueh & Pastor Cheng. And of course Pastor Daniel Choo of KL.  

Dad died in the hospital after a week in the icu. He had a "smile" on his face. There was such peace on his face.

My Hero - My Dad

He has always been the coolest dude around. He has always been someone whom we aspire to be. He did many "great & mighty" things in his life time. But the GREATEST of the GREATEST deed that he ever did - he accpeted Lord Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour. That was the SMARTEST choice he ever did. Though I am sad he was still a baby Christian before he departed to be with Jesus, yet thats ALL he needed to be in heaven now.

This is the GREATEST person who ever lived - my Dad. He passed away on March 22nd, 9:40am. This is a simple tribute to his life and death.

The record snow storm totally burried my uncle's car in New York City.

I had a GREAT time recently meeting up with my buddies. Like Colin - I have not met him for more than 10 YEARS!!!! And like Darryl - whom I have not met for more than 6 years though he claimed longer. And the best part was spending time chit chatting, eating, drinking, dreaming... and also meeting up with their wife/girlfriend/kid... 

Someone dug up this really ooooooooooold photo. While gasping and in shock, someone shouted: "HEY! ALL of us ARE HERE right NOW! LOOK - thats TW, JS, Colin, Ben & Darryl!!! Wait, I got a GREAT idea!!!!" Guess what happen next? 

Voila! We did an EXACT replica! How much more fun could u get from a reunion?! And to those who can gimme an accurate tally of the EXTRA POUNDS these 5 guys have put on since... u get to win TW's cool "LED Pen Light" (Trust me, its really cool)

This is...er... after many glasses of cocktail... *hiccup* .... TW is an expert in making cocktail. He got all the alcohol and all the funny glasses and all the funny gears for shaking and mixing... I guess from the photo u can guess who drank the most?

Just in case one day in the not too distant future u happen to see this 2 guys and myself on the cover of Fortune magazine, just remember, u read it here first. And as the story will be told, this is how it ALL started... 

We have waited for more than 10 years for this reunion photo to be possible. I hope it won't be another 10 years for the next one. In case Jesus does tarry, I hope we can do this until we are into our 80s or 90s or 100s...

This host spared no expense. We didn't just eat the best, drink the best, see the best, drive the best, we even "sleep the best"! I wonder how many friends we have on this planet who can share the master bedroom with their buddies. And this is no "brokeback mountain", man! This is straight & solid buddy-buddy friendship! This is like David & Jonathan. (For my 2 buddies - ya, thats from the Bible... And btw, Colin, did u notice how MANY remote controls there are in this room??? Gosh! There are like more than 10, man! I wonder if ur speculation earlier as to the "true nature" of this room could have been true.... Most interesting.... )
