Sheep or Goats?

How much worth is a person's SELF PROFESSION of Jesus? NOTHING.

A few years back, I would probably condemn such statement. But sadly, or rather gladly, I now agree whole-heartedly.

U might argue, how about Romans 10:9, or Romans 10:13? Well, nothing wrong with those wonderful promises of God. They are true & eternal. The problem here is, we don't know what's INSIDE a person's heart. Romans 10:9 is followed by Romans 10:10. And Romans 10:13 is preceeded by Romans 10:11. Go read CAREFULLY.

So how to differentiate sheep & goats?

We are called to JUDGE by their FRUITS. And a GOAT (or worse, WOLF) cannot live the life of a SHEEP. He could PRETEND for a while, but his folly will become obvious.

I can't help but begin to believe that the standard evangelical practice of "altar call" is being greatly misused & abused. Too many are putting FAITH into the reciting of "sinner's prayer"....without realising many are still "uncoverted, unrepentant, unregenerated goats" in the end...

And he told them many things in parables, saying: "A sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seeds fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured them. Other seeds fell on rocky ground, where they did not have much soil, and immediately they sprang up, since they had no depth of soil, but when the sun rose they were scorched. And since they had no root, they withered away. Other seeds fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked them. Other seeds fell on good soil and produced grain, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. He who has ears, let him hear."
