Testimonies

The Mandarin congregation had an evangelical meeting last night. I didn't plan to be there, but Pastor called me to come help take some photos. Boy, am I glad to come.

I was VERY encouraged to see that my sisters and my bro-in-law have been doing their part inviting quite a number of nonbelievers coming for the meeting.

I was particularly encouraged to see Chin's youngest brother and his wife there... this one is one of the LAST two siblings of Chin who are yet believers.... So will there be miracles tonight? ;)

I heard from my sister that there will be a couple of testimonies. One from a x-Along, and one from a x-broken family. But I never expected Pastor Ivan from Full Gospel Church (Johore) to bring such a BIG team over! Suddenly I noticed there were a whole bunch of "senior-looking" people in white t-shirts all over the place...

They all looked so soft & gentle... that is, until...

...the music started to get a bit louder! All of a sudden, they seemed to be transformed into a bunch of teenagers DANCING away!

I know of some Christians who are not "comfortable" with a "dancing church"... Well, trust me, the End Time church WILL get more dancy...

And David was dancing before the LORD with all his might, and David was wearing a linen ephod. So David and all the house of Israel were bringing up the ark of the LORD with shouting and the sound of the trumpet.
(2Sa 6:14-15)

"In that day I will raise up the fallen booth of David, And wall up its breaches; I will also raise up its ruins And rebuild it as in the days of old;
(Amo 9:11)

And we thoroughly enjoyed their "singing performance" too. U know these bunch of people have all been touched by Jesus and they are deeply in love with Jesus. After all, I mean how many of ur unsaved dads and grandpas would dare to dance & sing "unprofessionally" in front of a large crowd? ;P

The first testimony of the night was from this couple. It was an AWESOME testimony - how God was able to do the impossible in saving their marriage and their family. It was an EPIC tale.

For those who are interested, pls let me know and I will email u their testimony in MP3 format.

The second testimony was just as AWESOME... and HILARIOUS! This brother in Christ used to be a gangster head who had 40+ followers! And obviously he dappled in all sorts of illicit businesses. But thats exactly the kind of person whom Jesus died for!

His search for divine help in his "syoi time" led him to gods of various "nationality" ;) Obviously none of them worked.

Why should the nations say, "Where, now, is their God?" But our God is in the heavens; He does whatever He pleases. Their idols are silver and gold, The work of man's hands. They have mouths, but they cannot speak; They have eyes, but they cannot see; They have ears, but they cannot hear; They have noses, but they cannot smell; They have hands, but they cannot feel; They have feet, but they cannot walk; They cannot make a sound with their throat. Those who make them will become like them, Everyone who trusts in them. O Israel, trust in the LORD; He is their help and their shield.
(Psa 115:2-9)

This is a supreme tale of God's grace & mercy.

Then it was time for alter call...

Praise God, Chin's youngest brother was the FIRST! He was followed quickly by a second...

In the end, we had 23 people who come up to accept Jesus as their Lord & Saviour! Hallelujah!

And I was so happy to see the mother of a sick girl who came for the Elijah Challenge last month to be among them!

Thats the power of Testimonies.

"And they overcame him [the devil] because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death.
(Rev 12:11)

And talking of powerful testimony, this family is definitely one of them. For those who have been lied by the devil that ur family members and loved ones are IMPOSSIBLE to be saved - have HOPE.

Chin's family is a testimony to God's grace, mercy & promise. They are living examples of the promise of God:

They said, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household."
(Act 16:31)

Stay tuned, one more to go... ;)
