Taipei Trip
Last month, mom, Ah Lung kuku & Ah Lian kuku followed Shirley & KuNei to Taiwan.
There were in Taipei for 10 days. But KuNei only companied them for 3 days before flying off to Vancouver.
From the stories I heard, too bad my kukus were not adventurous enough in their search for food.
Despite Shirley trying to introduce them to the BEST food in Taipei, they still ended up looking for FooChow food!!! What a waste!
And they also weren't adventurous enough in sight seeing... All of Shirley's plan down the drain.
Don't know WHAT these bunch of kukus WANT!
Ah Hui's Dad
This morning at the church, I was told Ah Hui's dad had passed away last night. I knew he had been suffering from cancer for quite a while. But the most pressing question in my heart was: "Was he saved?" When my sister told me Ah Hui's dad had received Jesus as his personal LORD & Saviour JUST last week - my heart sang PRAISES to the LORD for His faithfulness.
Though I don't really know anyone from Ah Hui's family, I do know NONE of them know the LORD. Ah Hui herself is a young Christian. Mom used to worry about David having a "nonbeliever" girlfriend. So we prayed for her conversion and shortly after, she accepted Jesus! She is a testimony to the LORD's grace & mercy.
So Ah Hui is the FIRST Christian in her family. After Pastor Ivan (JB) came to minister at our church, I believe Ah Hui & David were both baptised in the Holy Spirit then as they started to have the boldness to share the gospel with Ah Hui's dad.
Combined with the prayers by Ah Hui & David's care group last Wed, Ah Hui's dad accepted the LORD last Thurs! Hallelujah! And I heard he had often requested David to pray for him in the hospital. And I heard David even prayed an ENTIRE night once for him! And my sister testified that Ah Hui's dad was in such peace for the past week. WHAT a testimony!
Bible says:
The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.
(2Pe 3:9)
The devil's hold over this family was broken once Ah Hui became a believer, purchased by the blood of Jesus. All of them were destined for hell once. And all of them deserved going to hell. But Bible says:
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
(Joh 3:16)
Praise God for His grace & mercy. God has made the Salvation of our soul SO EASY! Yet so many of us are so stiff necked & hard hearted. So many would rather trust in their own self-righteousness manifested in the hundreds & thousands of the various forms of religions in the world.
Then his servants came near and spoke to him and said, "My father, had the prophet told you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much more then, when he says to you, 'Wash, and be clean'?"
(2Ki 5:13)
God has paid the FULL price for us to go to heaven thru the Cross. Jesus has taken ALL our sins and given us His righteousness. U don't need to slay that dragon in a far away land. U don't need to climb the highest mountain. U don't need to fast 40 years. U don't need to pay USD40 million. All that is required of us is to BELIEVE!!!
that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
(Rom 10:9)
And for Ah Hui, the salvation of her ENTIRE family is already settled by God's Word:
They said, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household."
(Act 16:31)

Mom, Philip & Pastor LIM GEE TIONG!
Pastor Amos - Moving in the Spirit
Last week, Pastor Amos (Senior Pastor of Tabernacle of Holiness, Singapore) came to minister at my church for 3 days. We had 3 sessions of solid teaching, 2 sessions of healing rally & 1 Sunday morning sermon.
Pastor Amos was teaching on the prophetic stuff. But since I missed ALL 3 lessons so I gotta wait for the CDs to come out :(
But before each healing rally, he would share a message first. Praise God Pastor Amos was an excellent teacher. He was able to bring across the "heavy stuff" message to the whole crowd effortlessly - with added bonus gift - he was HILARIOUS!
Both rallies were packed to the brim. There were many from other churches too, praise God.
You could sense a lot of expectations during both rallies. Praise God our God is a MIRACLE working God. And He is a God of HOPE.
Pastor Amos started both sessions with mass prayer first.
Then he would move from individual to individual...they were so many of them...
Thus, praise God for the church elders/leaders. Here "literally" lending both hands to be anointed for the call of duty ;) ALL worked tirelessly both nights to pray for the needy and the sick.
There were many young ones in the crowd.
There were some "dramatic" ones too. This woman was set free from the demon that had been tormenting her for the past 30 years!!! Hallelujah!
There was one very "spooky" tale also. This young lady claimed the devil came to tell her that her beloved grandma would die soon. Hmmm...I guess Jesus didn't call devil as "Father of Lies" for nothing. It was obvious the devil couldn't touch the grandma so instead he had to "spread fear" thru lies. But I got GOOD NEWS - Bible says at the NAME of JESUS - EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW! Thank God for pastors like Pastor Amos who came to preach the TRUTH - that the devil FLEES when the name of Jesus is proclaimed! Hallelujah!
True to the theme - Moving in the Spirit - Pastor Amos also gave words of prophecy when required. Here I witnessed Edel "accidentally" been prayed for and received the words of prophecy. God NEVER misses anyone.
And lastly, to me, the BEST is always when people come up to receive Jesus as their Lord & Saviour.

Mom's Baptism
Last night was a most wonderful night. Last night was mom's Baptism night! This was a day many of us have been praying and waiting for. Praise the Lord for His faithfulness!
As we arrived at Blessed Church, a nondenominational church, it was already "full" at ground floor so my wife & I had to wait at the overflow room upstairs.
Once the worship session was over, we quickly rushed down to the main hall. The place was PACKED! And I was told this is the usual crowd for their Saturday prayer night. Awesome! (I repent from "ponteng" from my own church's prayer night. Thanks to Pastor Amos for this morning's sermon.)
Pastor Lim announced there were about 120 people to be baptised last night! And at first we couldn't locate mom - lost in the sea of people.
Only after a while did we manage to find her. I must give special thanks to cousin Philip & his beloved wife, Linda, for been so faithful over the past year for "taking care" of mom. They had been tireless & most patient in encouraging & bringing mom to the Baptism class. Praise the Lord for cousin Philip & Linda.
It took me a while before I managed to get a front row "seat". I could see from the 120 people getting baptised, they were a good mix of young & old, male & female, the solemn & the funny - ALL whom Jesus had died for.
Also, special thanks to the guy in the "red shirt" behind. Mr Johnny is the cell group leader for the one mom is attached to, and he has been instrumental in helping mom over the past year too.
Finally it was mom's turn! I could sense her "apprehension" ;)
And in less than 10 seconds, the baptism was over! Hallelujah! Praise God for His love & mercy.
Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.
(Rom 6:4)
As Pastor Lim said earlier that heaven is rejoicing over EACH & EVERY SINGLE ONE of the people getting baptised tonight, here down on planet Earth, it was good to see the support from friends & family members who came in droves to witness this most awesome occasion - an occasion made possible ONLY by the death-burial-resurrection of Jesus Christ.
And I am so happy to be a witness myself along with my wife, my sister Evelyn & Anna.
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
(2Co 5:17)
