Hath God Said?

The very first trick Satan used to lead mankind astray is recorded in Genesis 3:1 with these infamous words: "Hath God said...?" Many thousands of years later, Satan is STILL using the same trick to lead MANY astray.

Bible says Jesus is the ONLY way to salvation. But some professing Christians say NO.

Bible says homosexuality is a sin. But some professing Christians say NO.

Bible says women are not permitted to teach or exercise authority over men in Church. But some professing Christians say NO.

Episcopal Church in the States has been saying NO to the clear teachings of the Scripture for some years now. And last week things got worse. Last week, The Most Rev Katherine Jefferts Schori of the apostate Church declared: "The overarching connection in all of these crises has to do with the great Western heresy – that we can be saved as individuals, that any of us alone can be in right relationship with God."

The statement is SO heretical it is beyond me why are "Christians" still attending Episcopal Church in the States. Yet Bible also warns indeed MANY will follow these false teachers.

But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed.
(2Pe 2:1-2)

"So DID GOD SAY salvation is for u as an individual? Hmmm?" hissed the possessed serpent from the pulpit...

Thank God Bible ALSO says the days of the devil are numbered... ;)

Dear Sis. Thx for ur comment.

I am a subscriber to Complementarianism when it comes to the roles & functions of a female in the context of the Church. Why? Because I believe that is the clear teaching from the Scripture.

Pls understand it has NOTHING to do with "belittling" women nor trying "to boss over" women in the context of the Church. Women have much work to do and are much needed in ministries. We need more women to rise up as much as men. But I do not subscribe to Egalitarianism.

But can a woman become a missionary? Yes of course. But I hope not alone in the first place. Women are needed/called to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all corners of the world - hopefully together with a group of other females & males under a Church.

But can a woman become an Elder or Pastor? Well, I believe the Bible is very clear & plain in this area. The answer is no.

To answer some of ur other questions:

1) Deborah is not the right subject choice. Running a nation is a different subject matter. But since u are referring to OT time, have u noticed there was NO female priest? But there were female prophetess whose role was a supporting role?

2) I am not too sure about ur last point. Of course salvation has NOTHING to do with the sex of a person. Both male & female need Jesus equally and are saved equally and are loved equally.

In summary, women of course can teach & preach but just NOT in the capacity of an Elder or Pastor.

Hope the above is clear.
